Colabonate Cookie Policy
Effective Date: October 16, 2025
1. Introduction
This Cookie Policy describes how Colabonate uses cookies and similar technologies to provide, customize, assess, enhance, promote, and protect our hybrid services (Website, Forum, Comments). For more information about the treatment of your personal data at Colabonate and the distinction between centralized and decentralized technologies, please read our Privacy Policy. Terms not described in this Cookie Policy are defined in Colabonate’s Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. If you have any questions, please contact the decentralized or legal contact point specified in the Contact & Governance Node (Section 16 of the Privacy Policy).
If you do not agree with this Cookie Policy, please cease using this site immediately.
2. Cookies and Local Storage
A cookie is a piece of information that is placed automatically on your computer’s hard drive when you access certain websites. The cookie uniquely identifies your browser to the server. Cookies allow us to store information on the server (e.g., language preferences, technical information, login credentials) to help make the web experience better for you and to conduct website analysis and website performance review. Most web browsers are set up to accept cookies, although you can reset your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a Cookie is being sent. Note, however, that some portions of the Colabonate website (especially the comment and registration features) may not work properly if you refuse cookies.
Within the decentralized architecture, Colabonate also uses the SI Context Cache, a local, user-controlled storage that does not fall under the scope of this Cookie Policy, as it exclusively serves your Sovereign Identity and is not transmitted to central servers.
Functional Cookies for Hybrid Services:
- Comments: Saves name, email, and website for one year if you opt-in, to avoid re-entering details.
- Login: Temporary cookies are set to determine if your browser accepts cookies, as well as cookies to save your login information (2 days) and screen display choices (1 year). The “Remember Me” option extends the validity to two weeks.
- Article Editing: Includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited (expires after 1 day).
3. Third-Party / Embedded Content
The Colabonate website may make use of different third-party applications and services to enhance the user experience. This may include social media platforms, or embedded content from services such as YouTube or similar providers. As a result, cookies may be determined by such third parties and used by them to track your online activity. We have no direct control over information collected by these cookies.
4. Policy Updates
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we’ll update the “Effective Date” at the beginning of the Cookie Policy and post the new version on the Colabonate website. Please check Colabonate’s Cookie Policy updates periodically.
